Google has recently announced that it will be officially retiring Adsense Referrals program in the last week of August.
This new change by Adsense is in accordance to make room for and promote the new Google Affiliate Network which allows publishers to make money based on a Cost-Per-Action (CPA) model.
Publishers should take notice that Adsense Referral ads would no longer run after August so they should remove the Referral ads code from their sites/blogs and save all referral reports.
For publishers having product-focused websites/blogs, they should look forward to joining the Google Affiliate Network as it will allow them to generate commission revenue out of product sales.
