- Open the Start menu.
- Hold down the Control and Shift keys, and right-click on a blank space in the Start menu.
- Choose "Exit Explorer."
- Open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), navigate to File->Run, enter "explorer" and hit OK.
